5-Minute Tomato & Basil Sandwich

5-Minute Tomato & Basil Sandwich
A Note on This Recipe

Tomatoes bring a fresh, summery flavor to this simple sandwich, paired with fragrant basil and a creamy spread.

Juicy tomatoes and bright basil come together with a smooth, savory cream cheese base for a balanced, satisfying bite. Layered between soft bread, it makes a light yet flavorful option that’s perfect for breakfast, tea time, or whenever you’re craving something fresh and simple.

How to Make It

Slice tomatoes and prepare basil leaves.

Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds. Pat the basil leaves dry and tear or chop into small pieces.

Mix the Cream Cheese Spread

Combine all the spread ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth and well blended.

Spread cream cheese on bread, layer tomato, basil, and pepper, then assemble and slice the sandwich.

Assemble the Sandwich

Spread a thick layer of the cream cheese mixture on both slices of bread to prevent sogginess. Arrange the tomato slices on one slice, then sprinkle with basil and black pepper. Top with the remaining slice of bread and cut in half, lengthwise or diagonally.
