Air Fryer Quiche Toast

A ham and cheddar quiche toast made in the air fryer — dried minced onion gives it sautéed flavor without any pre-cooking, ready in about 15 minutes.
Yield: 2 toasts
Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Egg Mixture
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • Salt and pepper
Mix-Ins
  • 1 slice deli ham chopped
  • 2 tbsp shredded cheddar
Assembly
  • 2 brioche slices
  • Unsalted butter
  • Parsley or chives

Instructions

  • Whisk together the egg, heavy cream, parmesan, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped ham and shredded cheddar.
  • Press two brioche slices into a square dish, forming a deep well in the center of each.
  • Spread a thin layer of butter over each well.
  • Spoon the filling into the wells and top with parsley, if using.
  • Air fry at 335-340°F (170°C) for 8-9 minutes, until the edges are golden and the filling is just set. Let rest 1-2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Dried minced onion tastes pre-cooked even added raw, so there's no need to sauté it first.
  • Cooked bacon can be swapped in for the ham — make sure it's fully cooked and crumbled, as it will only warm through, not crisp further, in the air fryer.
  • If your air fryer runs cool, add an extra minute or two to the cook time.
