  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (secret flavor booster!)
  • 2 tsp honey (or less if using ketchup)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (or fresh garlic, minced)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (paprika, cayenne pepper, or gochugaru)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
Tuna Mixture (1 serving):
  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
  • 3 Tbsp Yum Yum Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped green onion
assembly:
  • Cooked rice
  • Boiled egg
  • Cucumber slices
  • Seaweed snack

Instructions

Prep

Begin by cooking your rice if it’s not ready. For an extra protein boost, you can also hard-boil some eggs. Thinly slice a mini cucumber for the topping. Finely chop some green onion for the tuna mixture.

Yum Yum Sauce

In a bowl, combine all the Yum Yum sauce ingredients. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

Tuna Mixture

Drain a can of tuna and add to a small mixing bowl. Add the green onion and about half of the Yum Yum sauce. Flake the tuna and mix everything together thoroughly.

Assembly

Scoop approximately a cup of warm rice into a bowl. Top the rice with the tuna mixture, arranging cucumber slices and a halved boiled egg on top. Serve with toasted seaweed snacks on the side. These can be used to wrap bites of the dish or simply added for a salty, umami flavor.
