Chia Yogurt Pudding (No Milk)

A creamy, no-slime take on chia pudding made with just Greek yogurt and chia seeds — no milk needed. Topped with frozen berries and granola for an easy high-fiber breakfast, snack, or dessert.
Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Frozen berries for topping (about ½ cup)
  • Granola for topping

Instructions

  • Add Greek yogurt and chia seeds to a jar. Mix well until evenly distributed — chia seeds tend to clump, so mix thoroughly.
  • Layer frozen berries generously on top. Don't mix.
  • Seal the jar and refrigerate overnight, allowing the berries to thaw and the chia seeds to fully expand.
  • Before serving, stir everything together and top with granola.

Notes

  • A commonly recommended chia seed serving is 1–2 tbsp a day — pouring in more than that can cause digestive discomfort, so 1 tbsp is plenty for this ratio.
  • Using yogurt instead of milk or water gives a thicker, true pudding-like texture instead of the typical slimy chia pudding consistency.
  • Letting the frozen berries thaw on top (rather than mixing them in right away) lets their juice slowly release and hydrate the chia seeds on the surface.
  • Swap in your favorite fruit or a lightly sweetened granola for extra crunch and natural sweetness.
